Gella has over 15 years of experience as an employment and industrial relations lawyer. With a background in both private practice and in-house roles, Gella delivers commercial and strategic advice across all workplace issues, including award and payroll compliance, transfer of business, contract and policy development, restraint of trade, enterprise bargaining, restructures, managing ill and injured workers, workplace investigations and executive terminations. 

Gella regularly conducts complex workplace investigations for employers in the public and private sectors, including into bullying and harassment, whistleblower matters and public interest disclosures. She also delivers tailored workplace training for organisations of all sizes, promoting compliance and supporting our clients to develop their internal capability. 

Gella is also an experienced litigator, having acted for both employers and senior executives in proceedings across various state and federal courts and tribunals, including unfair dismissal claims, adverse action proceedings, enterprise agreement disputes, discrimination proceedings, breach of contract and restraint of trade. 

Gella’s peer-recognised expertise in workplace relations is highlighted in her numerous appearances at specialist HR and legal industry events, including for UNSW Edge, Thomson Reuters and HRD Australia. 

Gella was also listed in Doyle’s Guide’s Employment & WHS Law Rising Stars – New South Wales from 2022 to 2025.
