Kate is an experienced workplace lawyer and industrial advocate, with a record of providing strategic and commercial advice to clients, based on a foundation of exceptional technical and practical legal knowledge.

Kate provides advice and representation for a wide range of clients, with significant experience in the public and not for profit sectors, mining and transport industries.  She is a trusted advisor in matters requiring sophisticated strategic judgment and exceptional technical and personal engagement skills.

Kate’s sensitive and adaptable communication style, combined with her personable approach and technical legal knowledge, make her a sought after investigator, particularly in sensitive workplace, probity and safety matters.

Kate is also an Adjunct Postgraduate Lecturer in Advanced Employment Law and Workplace Investigations at the University of Sydney.  Before joining Workdynamic Australia as Executive Counsel in January 2016, Kate was a Senior Associate at Corrs Chambers Westgarth.


Kate holds both a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) and a Bachelor of Economics (University Medal) from the University of Sydney. 

In 2008, Kate expanded her specialist legal qualifications by completing a Masters of Law (with Distinction) at the London School of Economics and Political Science.  She holds a current practising certificate.


With outstanding knowledge and practical experience in workforce restructuring, consultation, redeployment and redundancy processes in unionised sectors, Kate is highly sought after by clients looking to facilitate smooth and commercially effective change processes.

Kate has significant experience as a litigator, particularly in the Federal Court and as an advocate in the Fair Work Commission and Coronial Courts.  In conducting these matters, Kate combines a deep understanding of client goals with formidable technical and negotiation skills to achieve positive commercial outcomes for her clients.

An effective communicator and trainer, Kate also regularly works with clients to deliver practical and engaging professional development sessions and technical legal training to in-house management teams.
