Lauren is a Principal/Director and co-founder of Workdynamic Australia, and an experienced practitioner with nearly 20 years’ experience. Lauren has extensive experience within all areas of employment, industrial law and equal opportunity law. Lauren also specialises in conducting investigations into workplace issues such as discrimination, harassment, bullying and corruption.
Lauren has been profiled in The Australian, Australian Financial Review, Business Review Weekly, ABC TV, Sky News, Lawyers Weekly and Women’s Agenda. She and her co-directors have attracted widespread media interest in respect of the foundation and growth of Workdynamic Australia and its innovative model.
Before forming Workdynamic Australia, Lauren spent over a decade as an employment lawyer at top-tier firm Herbert Smith Freehills.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS

Lauren holds Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws degrees from the University of New South Wales. She holds a current practising certificate.
Following University, Lauren was selected from her graduate year to work as the Research Assistant for Justice Clifford Einstein of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2001.

IN-DEPTH EXPERIENCE

Lauren provides expert employment law advice on matters such as executive contracts, termination of employment, transfers of business and employment-related litigation. She is a recognised expert in advising employers on managing and resolving employee grievances and disputes.
Lauren specialises in advising on workplace misconduct, and has specialist experience investigating sensitive workplace investigations of a complex nature. She has conducted hundreds of investigations into allegations of sexual harassment, bullying, corruption, public interest disclosures, claims of reportable conduct, financial irregularities, criminal conduct and other forms of misconduct.
Lauren currently provides consultancy advice to the University of Sydney and Sydney Uni Sport and Fitness, and is a trusted advisor to their in-house teams.

Lauren has presented numerous training sessions and legal briefings to executive leadership teams concerning a range of employment issues including managing ill and injured employees, recruitment, performance management, social media, conducting workplace investigations and equal opportunity law.
